Last Day in Makarska

The city of Makarska has been preserved to make it attractive for tourists – wide walks along the shore with small shops and eateries. Old buildings and churches are one of the attractions.

Ferda found a Golden Retriever that looked just like our Hardal who we lost a few years back. Goldens like to present themselves as if they were placed in the world to give people a dog to pet and enjoy. They love to make themselves available to one and all as they go down the street – spread the joy!

We took a walk to the next small town, Tucepi, which is a strip of holiday hotels and homes – nothing more. Something like a 13 km walk. Pretty woods along the way and many walkers as well. We saw one red squirrel! Only the second we have seen in Europe! This one even posed for a few seconds before scampering off into the wild.
