Getting to the water city is easy – that is
the end of the line – the train comes to a halt so you get off and you are
there. When you exit the train station you get to the view of the Grand Canal.
Next step is to get tickets for the waterbus – an all day ticket where you hop on and off is 20 Euros. Heck of a deal until you realize it is useless. The boat service a loop through and around the city where you see very little so 40 Euros down the drain. Sure seemed like a good idea. In Barcelona it worked great.

We wandered down the walkways and over the bridges looking at all and taking our pictures. At one establishment we ordered a beer – a big one. What arrived was a one liter that you needed both hands to hold. Sure was good and only one was needed!
Upon arrival at our lodgings in the evening we packed the bags in the car so as to get an early start in the morning – trying to miss the heavy freeway traffic we had been experiencing.
