Hike in Paklenica National Park

There are numerous trails here – today we hiked to Manita Pec – a cave where limestone formations have been hade by dripping water. I had forgot about it being a bit chilly inside – about 10°C (50°F). Ferda managed to borrow a coat from the staff fortunately!

9 km round trip with an elevation gain of 500 meters. Good trail all the way and easy – just a bit of trudging uphill.

There was a rain shower last night and this morning was cool. On our return from the cave it was hot any time you were in the sun.

We started our hike in Paklenica National Park through the Paklenica Canyon which is an area known for rock climbing and climbing training. We saw a few people working and even small kids headed up a vertical wall.
