In
Zabljak cold and rainy all day – around 10°C (50°F).
We drove southwest to Savnik and a bit farther –
beautiful mountain scenery. Good two lane road all the way. Down off the
mountain it was over 20°C (70°F) much more comfortable.
One
the way back to Zabljak we turned off to look for a monastery some 8 km off the
main road. This back road was quite narrow and varied between OK and really
bad. Fortunately in 20 km we didn’t meet even one car. Took a wrong turn and
after 4 km turned around. Eventually we saw the monastery – down an even more
narrow dirt and rock road that wound down the side of the canyon. We just took
photos from above and called it good.
So far the only things we see on farms are cows, sheep and goats – no crops other than cattle feed.
