From Croatia to Italy

Another travel day.

The joys of travelling in Europe in the summer time – as half of the continent is on vacation things tend to get backed up. We sat in line for an hour to reach the toll booth just to take the ticket in north Croatia. Later on we sat in line another hour to pay the toll and go through Croatia/Slovenian immigrations and customs. After we entered in Italy the traffic on the freeway often came to a standstill for no reason. All in all it took 11 ½ hours to go 470 km.

Upon reaching Oderzo, Italy we located our stay quite easily. The Maps.Me app did a fine job!

Late night we went to a micro brewery/restaurant to relax after a long driving day and to finish the evening off. Excellent bear and great food...

The weatherman was wrong again – the day was fine with only a bit of rain in the evening.
