Black Lake (Crno Jezero) is the
biggest and most visited one of the 18 glassy mountain lakes in Durmitor
Natioanal Park. It’s also the starting point of many hiking trails for every
level.
This morning we drove to the
entry to the Park and walked to the Black Lake. From there, we followed an easy
trail uphill through the wood and reached a much smaller lake, Snake Lake (Zminje
Jezero). It was totally overcast when we started, fortunately the sun showed up in the afternoon.
Overall the trek was 9.8 km, 300
m elevation gain/loss. The highest point being 1600 m. It took a little bit
over than 3 hours with the stops all
along the way to take pictures.

This evening we dined at a nice
restaurant but despite the cold air we chosed open air section for clean air. (In
Montenegro smoking is allowed in closed places also.)
